First Generation  

1. Burrell MILLION, son of Milton MILLION and Ann Elizabeth BRADSHAW, was born on 29 Oct 1851 in Monticello, MO, died on 11 Oct 1920 in Woodward, OK, at age 68, and was buried in Hennesy, OK.

General Notes: Burrell Million was born in 1851 in Monticello, Missouri where he was reared. Cancelled checks exist to show that he was in Farber, Missouri before coming to Oklahoma. He came to Oklahoma in 1904, first engaging in the banking business in Apache, where he was cashier of the Apache State Bank.

It is assumed that he met his wife, Emma Catherine Kell, when he moved to Apache. The Kells and the Blairs were among the first families to settle in Apache and became prominent families in the community. Emma's sister Ethel married a Blair. The Apache Musuem has artifacts and photos of both families.

Burrell then moved to Supply in 1911, where he bought the Bank of Supply and became its president. He led an active business life, giving liberally of both his time and means to the upbuilding of the community. He died in 1920 of heart trouble. After his death his son Burrell Jr. became president of the bank. Both Burrell and Emma are buried in Hennessey, Oklahoma, where her sister and father had a homestead.

The November, 1920 issue of The State Banker magazine contained an "In Memoriam" notice honoring his achievements in the banking industry.

Burrell married Emma Catherine KELL, daughter of Samuel KELL and Mary BRENNAN, in 1877. Emma was born on 21 Jul 1856 in Indiana, died on 12 May 1937 in Woodward, OK, at age 80, and was buried in Hennesy, OK.

          i.  Ora Cecilia MILLION was born on 18 Jul 1876 in Shelbina, MO. Williamstown??, died on 27 Mar 1968 in Oklahoma City, OK, at age 91, and was buried in Memorial Park Cemetery, Oklahoma City, OK. Ora married Arthur PERRY. Arthur died in 1911. Ora next married Percy Brandon ZERBY, son of John Harry ZERBY and Nancy Hannah BRANDOM, on 18 Jun 1917 in Enid, OK.¹ Percy was born on 2 Feb 1885 in Carroliton, MO, died on 2 Apr 1963 in Oklahoma City, OK, at age 78, and was buried in Memorial Park Cemetery, Oklahoma City, OK.

         ii.  Ethyl Marie MILLION was born on 30 Dec 1885 in Williamstown, MO and died on 3 Aug 1964 in Tulsa, OK, at age 78. Ethyl married Jesse Hiram BLAIR, son of Samuel BLAIR, on 15 Jul 1910. Jesse was born on 15 Jul 1886 in Harlan, KY and died on 15 Aug 1962 in Wichita, KS, at age 76.

        iii.  Burrell MILLION Jr. was born 2April 1892 and died on 16 Dec 1959 in Oklahoma City, OK, at age 67. Burrell married Jo NEWELL.
