16. John ZERBY, son of Jacob ZERBE and Elizabeth HAMEN OR HAMM, was born on 25 Oct 1808 in Probably in Buffalo Valley, Union, PA, died in Mar 1887 in Whitehall, Greene County, IL, at age 78, and was buried in Concord Cemetery, Morgon, Ill.

General Notes: John lived for twenty years or more in Allensville, Mifflin County, PA, where he was engaged in wool manufacturing. ( Vallentine)

He then migrated to near Corcord, Morgan County, Illinois with his family of eight children sometime around1852. Later one of his sons went further west. (1962 letter from Yance A. Zerby to Paul Zerby)

1880 Census for Morgan County, IL shows that John was a retired merchant and was living with a nephew, George W. Rentschler. George was the son of John's sister, Catherine.

John married Elizabeth HAMILTON on 6 Mar 1871. Elizabeth was born about 1809 and died about 1879 in Concord, Morgan Co., IL, about age 70.

8         i.  Lewis E. ZERBY ³ (born on 19 Aug 1836 in Allenville, Mifflin Co., PA - died on 10 Sep 1864 in Concord, Morgan Co., IL). Lewis married Elizabeth BEELEY, daughter of John BEELEY and Dorothy, on 22 Jul 1860 in Concord, Morgan Co., IL.¹¹ Elizabeth was born on 16 Apr 1839 in Dover, England (Sheffield, York) and died on 26 May 1916 in Concord, Morgan Co., IL, at age 77.

         ii.  William M. ZERBY was born on 26 Oct 1828 in Allenville, Mifflin Co., PA, died on 11 Jul 1864, at age 35, and was buried in Concord Cemetery.

        iii.  Matilda Mary ZERBY was born in 1830 in Allenville, Mifflin Co., PA and was buried before 1858 in IL. Matilda married Edwarf BERENNAN on 15 Jul 1855.

         iv.  Jacob ZERBY was born on 7 Apr 1832 in Allenville, Mifflin Co., PA and died on 21 Nov 1893, at age 61. Jacob married Catherine WEBB.

          v.  Ellenora ZERBY was born in 1834.

John next married Rachel KYISHER. Rachel was born in 1808 in PA, died in 1868 in Concord, Morgan Co., IL, at age 60, and was buried in Concord Cemetery.

          i.  John F. ZERBY was born in 1841 in Allenville, Mifflin Co., PA and died on 18 Jul 1868, at age 27. John married Martha.

         ii.  Adam H. ZERBY was born in 1845 in Allenville, Mifflin Co., PA. Adam married Elizabeth BEELEY, daughter of John BEELEY and Dorothy, on 24 May 1868. Elizabeth was born on 16 Apr 1839 in Dover, England (Sheffield, York) and died on 26 May 1916 in Concord, Morgan Co., IL, at age 77.

        iii.  Jared ZERBY was born on 15 Oct 1847 in Allenville, Mifflin Co., PA and died on 25 Dec 1935, at age 88. Jared married Susannah STANDLEY on 1 Jan 1881.

17. Elizabeth HAMILTON was born about 1809 and died about 1879 in Concord, Morgan Co., IL, about age 70.

Elizabeth married John ZERBY on 6 Mar 1871. John was born on 25 Oct 1808 in Probably in Buffalo Valley, Union, PA, died in Mar 1887 in Whitehall, Greene County, IL, at age 78, and was buried in Concord Cemetery, Morgon, Ill.

ZERBY,³ son of John ZERBY and Elizabeth HAMILTON, on 22 Jul 1860 in Concord, Morgan Co., IL.¹¹ Lewis was born on 19 Aug 1836 in Allenville, Mifflin Co., PA, died on 10 Sep 1864 in Concord, Morgan Co., IL, at age 28, and was buried in Concord Cemetery. Elizabeth next married Adam Height ZERBY on 24 May 1868. Elizabeth next married Adam H. ZERBY, son of John ZERBY and Rachel KYISHER, on 24 May 1868. Adam was born in 1845 in Allenville, Mifflin Co., PA.

Dorothy married John BEELEY.

20. Francis BRANDOM, son of John Francis BRANDOM and Mary ASHER, was born in 1788.

General Notes: Francis moved from Culpeper to Mason County, West Virginia between 1820 and 1830. Later he moved to Missouri, settling in Carroll County.

Francis married Elizabeth ? in 1808.

Children from this marriage were:

10        i.  Thomas BRANDOM (born on 6 Jan 1809 in West Virginia - died on 11 Jan 1872, buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Carolton, Mo.). Thomas married Nancy Martin HANNAN in 1839. Nancy was born 1822, 26 Dec 1821 in West Virginia and died on 14 Feb 1899, at age 77.

Elizabeth married Francis BRANDOM in 1808. Francis was born in 1788.

24. Haman MILLION, son of Daniel Benjamin MILLION and Susannah, was born in 1788 in Stafford, Virginia, died on 27 Aug 1854 in Harrison County, KY., at age 66, and was buried in Million Cemetary, Harrison Countty, KY.

Haman married Judith HINSON on 25 Oct 1807 in Garrard, KY. Judith was born in 1786 in Fauquier County, VA.

Children from this marriage were:

12        i.  Milton MILLION (born on 3 Oct 1819 in Harrison County, MO - died on 1 Aug 1884 in La Grange, MO. (Lewis County)). Milton married Ann Elizabeth BRADSHAW on 26 Nov 1848 in Lewis Co., MO. Ann was born in 1832 in Lewis Co., MO and died in 1882 in Lagrange, MO. (Lewis County), at age 50.

         ii.  Jeptha MILLION was buried in Monticello, MO.

Judith married Haman MILLION on 25 Oct 1807 in Garrard, KY. Haman was born in 1788 in Stafford, Virginia, died on 27 Aug 1854 in Harrison County, KY., at age 66, and was buried in Million Cemetary, Harrison Countty, KY.

28. Benjamin KELL, son of Samuel KELL Jr and Sarah TREGO, was born on 4 Aug 1811, died on 1 Feb 1877, at age 65, and was buried in Hennesy, OK.

Benjamin married Rueamy BECKNER in 1849. Rueamy was born on 22 Feb 1812 and died in Oct 1848, at age 36.

14       ii.  Samuel KELL (born on 16 Jul 1833 in Rising Sun, Indiana - died on 3 Dec 1928 in Bison, OK). Samuel married Mary BRENNAN on 26 Sep 1855. Mary was born on 25 Dec 1835 and died on 26 Aug 1903 in Bison, OK, at age 67.

        iii.  Emily KELL was born on 1 Nov 1837 in Dearborn Co., IN and died 30 Feb 1916 in Kahoka, MO.

29. Rueamy BECKNER was born on 22 Feb 1812 and died in Oct 1848, at age 36.

Rueamy married Benjamin KELL in 1849. Benjamin was born on 4 Aug 1811, died on 1 Feb 1877, at age 65, and was buried in Hennesy, OK.
